Opee Club is a women-only social club built on the belief that meaningful connections happen when people feel safe, respected, and valued. These Community Guidelines exist to protect that environment and ensure every member has a positive experience — both online and at in-person events. By joining Opee Club, you agree to abide by these guidelines.
We expect every member to read and understand these guidelines. Violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the community, depending on the severity and frequency of the behavior.
1. Respect and Inclusivity
Opee Club is a diverse community that brings together women from all walks of life. We celebrate our differences and ask that every member contributes to a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Treat every member with kindness, dignity, and respect, regardless of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, socioeconomic background, or any other characteristic.
Embrace diverse perspectives and be open to learning from members who have different experiences and viewpoints than your own.
Use inclusive language and be mindful of how your words may impact others. Avoid making assumptions about someone based on their appearance, background, or identity.
Respect personal boundaries. If someone asks you to stop a particular behavior or change the topic of conversation, please honor their request.
Remember that members come from different cultural backgrounds and communication styles. Give others the benefit of the doubt and approach misunderstandings with curiosity rather than judgment.
2. Harassment Policy
Opee Club has a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
Verbal harassment: Offensive comments, slurs, insults, or jokes targeting a person or group based on any protected characteristic. This includes both spoken and written communication (in-person, in-app messages, group chats, or social media).
Bullying and intimidation: Repeated negative behavior intended to humiliate, marginalize, or exclude a member. This includes spreading rumors, public shaming, or deliberate social exclusion.
Sexual harassment: Unwelcome sexual attention, advances, or comments. This includes inappropriate touching, suggestive remarks, sharing sexually explicit content, or pressuring someone for personal information or contact.
Stalking and unwanted contact: Persistent, unwanted communication or following a member online or in person after they have asked you to stop.
Discrimination: Treating a member unfavorably or refusing to engage with them based on any protected characteristic.
Threats: Any threat of physical violence, harm, or damage to property, whether explicit or implied.
If you experience or witness harassment of any kind, please report it immediately using the process described in Section 5 below. All reports are taken seriously and handled confidentially.
3. Safety Guidelines
Your safety is our top priority. To help maintain a safe community for everyone:
Verify your identity: We require all members to use their real name and a genuine profile photo. Fake profiles, impersonation, or catfishing are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.
Protect your personal information: Be cautious about sharing sensitive personal information (home address, financial details, etc.) with other members, especially when you are getting to know them.
Meet in public spaces: All official Opee Club events take place in vetted public venues. We strongly discourage arranging private meetups with members you have not met before. When meeting someone for the first time, always choose a public location.
Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, it probably is. Do not hesitate to remove yourself from any situation that makes you feel uncomfortable and report it to our team.
No solicitation: Do not use Opee Club to promote, sell, or solicit goods, services, or business opportunities to other members without prior written permission from the Opee Club team. This includes multi-level marketing, direct sales, fundraising, and recruitment.
Emergency situations: If you feel you are in immediate danger during an event, contact local emergency services first, then notify the Opee Club event host and our support team.
4. Event Conduct
Opee Club events are the heart of our community. To ensure everyone has a great time:
RSVP responsibly: Only RSVP for events you genuinely plan to attend. If you cannot make it, cancel your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance so another member can take your spot. Repeated no-shows may result in restricted event access.
Be punctual: Arrive on time or within the specified arrival window. Late arrivals can disrupt the event experience for everyone.
Be present: Put your phone away and engage with the people around you. The whole point of Opee Club is building real connections.
Respect the venue: Treat event venues and their staff with respect. Follow house rules, handle property with care, and leave spaces as you found them.
Invite policy: Unless explicitly stated, Opee Club events are for members only. Do not bring uninvited guests. If an event allows plus-ones, your guest must also adhere to these Community Guidelines.
Follow event host instructions: Our event hosts are there to facilitate a great experience. Please follow their instructions regarding activities, seating arrangements, and event flow.
5. Reporting Violations
If you experience or witness a violation of these Community Guidelines, we encourage you to report it promptly. You can report issues through:
In-app reporting: Use the report feature available on member profiles and in event chat threads.
Email: Send a detailed report to support@opee.app with the subject line “Community Guidelines Report.”
In person: At any Opee Club event, you can speak directly with the event host, who will escalate the matter to our community team.
When reporting a violation, please include as much detail as possible: the name or username of the person involved, a description of what happened, the date and location (if applicable), and any supporting evidence such as screenshots or messages. All reports are reviewed confidentially by our community team. We will never share the identity of the reporter with the person being reported, unless required by law.
6. Consequences of Violations
We take all reports seriously and will investigate each one thoroughly. Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, consequences may include:
Verbal or written warning: For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a private warning explaining the behavior that violated our guidelines and what is expected going forward.
Temporary suspension: For repeated or more serious violations, your account may be temporarily suspended for a period determined by our community team. During a suspension, you will not be able to access the app, attend events, or interact with other members.
Permanent removal: For severe violations — including but not limited to harassment, threats of violence, hate speech, stalking, or illegal activity — your account will be permanently terminated without refund. You will be banned from creating new accounts or attending future events.
Law enforcement referral: If a violation involves illegal activity or poses a threat to the safety of any person, we may report the incident to relevant law enforcement authorities.
We reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary to protect the safety and well-being of our community, even if a specific behavior is not explicitly listed in these guidelines. Decisions made by the Opee Club community team regarding violations are final.
7. Photo and Media Consent
Opee Club events may involve photography and video for promotional and community-building purposes. By attending an event, you acknowledge that photos or videos may be taken. Our media policy is as follows:
Official event media: Opee Club or its designated photographers may capture photos and videos at events for use on our website, app, and social media channels. If you do not wish to be photographed, please inform the event host at the beginning of the event, and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.
Personal photography: You may take photos at events for personal use. However, you must obtain verbal consent from anyone who appears prominently in your photos before sharing them on social media or any public platform.
No unauthorized recording: Recording video or audio of other members without their explicit consent is strictly prohibited. This includes live-streaming events.
Removal requests: If you appear in a photo or video shared by Opee Club and would like it removed, contact us at support@opee.app and we will remove it within a reasonable timeframe.
Do not share without permission: Never share photos, videos, or screenshots of private conversations or member profiles outside of Opee Club without the express permission of the individuals involved.
8. Alcohol Policy at Events
Some Opee Club events may take place at venues where alcohol is served. While we want everyone to have a good time, we expect all members to behave responsibly:
Drink responsibly: Moderate your alcohol consumption and know your limits. Excessive intoxication that leads to disruptive, inappropriate, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
Respect non-drinkers: Not everyone drinks alcohol, and that is perfectly fine. Never pressure or shame another member for choosing not to drink. Many of our events are alcohol-free, and non-alcoholic options are always available.
No illegal substances: The use, possession, or distribution of illegal substances at Opee Club events is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal and permanent ban.
Safe transportation: Plan your transportation home before the event. Never drive under the influence. We encourage using ride-sharing services, public transportation, or designated drivers.
Event host discretion: Our event hosts reserve the right to ask any member who is behaving in a disruptive manner due to intoxication to leave the event. This decision is final and non-negotiable.
Venue compliance: All members must comply with the alcohol policies and legal drinking age requirements of the venue and jurisdiction where the event is held.
9. Updates to These Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our community standards, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we make significant changes, we will notify members through the app or via email. Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
